Learning Objectives

Indicator: B3.1.5.1.6 - Balance while moving and manipulating an object on a ground-level balance beam.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Walk forward and backward along a ground-level balance beam while maintaining their balance without stepping off.
  2. Bounce and catch a ball continuously while moving along the balance beam.
  3. Roll a ball along the beam using a stick while walking, showing control of both the ball and the body.
  4. Demonstrate patience and courage when attempting the balance beam tasks, adjusting their pace to complete the activity successfully.
  5. Describe in their own words why balancing while moving is important for everyday activities such as crossing a bridge or carrying a load.
