Learning Objectives
Indicator: K2.6.2.1.1 - Talk about different types of animals that live at home and in the bush and how human being care for domestic animals.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Name at least five animals that live at home (domestic animals) and five animals that live in the bush (wild animals).
- Sort picture cards of animals into two groups: home animals and bush animals.
- Talk about at least two ways human beings care for domestic animals (feeding, shelter, water, health).
- Respond to questions during community circle time using complete phrases such as “The cow lives at home” or “The lion lives in the bush.”
- Show care and concern for domestic animals by describing what a pet or farm animal needs to stay healthy.

Display a conversational poster and some concrete materials related to the theme and engage learners in active discussion. Call on learners randomly to answer questions or contribute to the discussion. * Let learners talk about animals found in the home and those that are not at home. * Discuss with learners how and why domestic animals should be catered/cared for.
