Learning Objectives

Indicator: K2.6.2.1.1 - Talk about different types of animals that live at home and in the bush and how human being care for domestic animals.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Name at least five animals that live at home (domestic animals) and five animals that live in the bush (wild animals).
  2. Sort picture cards of animals into two groups: home animals and bush animals.
  3. Talk about at least two ways human beings care for domestic animals (feeding, shelter, water, health).
  4. Respond to questions during community circle time using complete phrases such as “The cow lives at home” or “The lion lives in the bush.”
  5. Show care and concern for domestic animals by describing what a pet or farm animal needs to stay healthy.
