Learning Objectives
Indicator: K1.6.2.1.6 - Recognise, sort, classify, describe and extend non-numerical patterns.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Recognise a simple repeating pattern (up to a repetition of 3, 2 pattern) using animal pictures, sounds, or colours.
- Sort and classify animals or objects into groups based on one attribute (e.g., domestic or wild, colour, size).
- Describe a repeating pattern using words such as “goat, goat, cow” or “red, red, blue.”
- Extend a given pattern by continuing it for at least two more repetitions.
- Create their own simple pattern using sounds, syllables, shapes, or animal names, and share it with a friend.
