Indicator: B7.1.2.1.1 - Describe the structure and function of living cells of an animal

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify and name at least six organelles of an animal cell from a chart, video, or diagram.
State the function of each major organelle in an animal cell (nucleus, cytoplasm, cell membrane, mitochondria, ribosomes, and vacuoles).
Draw and label an animal cell neatly, showing the correct position and shape of each organelle.
Explain, using evidence from observation, that animals are made up of cells.
Construct a simple physical model of an animal cell using everyday materials and present it to the class.
