Learning Objectives
Indicator: K2.6.1.1.5 - Identify the letter-sound learnt for the week in words related to the theme and write the letter and key word boldly and legibly in their books.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify the target letter-sound for the week (e.g., “s”) when they hear it at the beginning of words related to living and non-living things.
- Point to and name the target letter when they see it in words displayed on the board or in their books.
- Sort picture cards of living and non-living things into two groups based on whether the word starts with the target letter-sound.
- Trace and write the target letter boldly and legibly in their exercise books, following the correct stroke pattern.
- Copy the key word related to the theme (e.g., “sun” for non-living, “sheep” for living) neatly beneath the letter.
