Learning Objectives

Indicator: K2.6.1.1.6 - Identify, draw and colour two items each under living and non-living things.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  • Identify at least two living things and two non-living things from their immediate environment when shown pictures or real objects.
  • Draw two living things (for example, a dog and a mango tree) neatly on paper.
  • Draw two non-living things (for example, a chair and a bottle) neatly on paper.
  • Colour their drawings of living and non-living things using appropriate colours.
  • Talk about why each drawn item is living or non-living, using simple reasons such as “it grows” or “it cannot move on its own”.
