Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.1.2.1.1 - Listen to level-appropriate text attentively and identify key information

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify the main idea of a level-appropriate oral text read aloud by the teacher.
  2. Identify at least two supporting points that back the main idea of the text.
  3. State the speaker’s intent or purpose (to inform, persuade, or instruct) after listening to a text.
  4. Identify the speaker’s enthusiasm or passion for the topic from the tone and choice of words used.
  5. Cross-check written notes against the original oral text and correct any wrong information.
