Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.1.2.1.2 - Listen to, discuss ideas and share opinions from a level-appropriate text

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Listen attentively to a short text read aloud and note at least three key points from it.
  2. Discuss the key points identified with a partner or small group, using complete sentences.
  3. Share a personal opinion about an idea from the text, beginning with phrases such as “In my view…” or “I think…”.
  4. Give one reason to support an opinion they share about the text.
  5. Respond respectfully to a classmate’s opinion by agreeing or disagreeing politely.
