Learning Objectives

Indicator: B4.1.7.1.3 - Recognise and discuss moral lessons in a story

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify the moral lesson in a story they have heard read aloud.
  2. Share their own opinions on whether a character’s actions were right or wrong.
  3. Relate story characters and events to real-life experiences in their own communities.
  4. Discuss in pairs or small groups how they can apply a story’s moral lesson to their daily lives.
  5. Use sentence frames like “The moral of the story is…” and “This teaches us to…” when talking about stories.
