Indicator: B4.1.7.1.7 - Compare and contrast information (two or more ideas) from texts
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- identify similarities and differences between two short texts read aloud by the teacher.
- use comparison and contrast signal words (both, also, similarly, but, however, while, on the other hand) to express ideas from texts.
- complete a simple Venn diagram to organise information from two texts.
- answer oral and written questions that require comparing and contrasting two or more ideas from texts.
- explain, in their own words, what it means to compare and what it means to contrast.
