Learning Objectives

Indicator: B4.1.7.1.2 - Make connections with events in narrative texts

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify the main events in a narrative text and state them in the correct order.
  2. Explain how one event in a story leads to or causes another event.
  3. Connect events in a story to their own personal experiences or things they have seen happen around them.
  4. Retell a story in a chain, with each learner adding the next event in sequence.
  5. Work in small groups to discuss how the events of a story relate to one another and share their conclusions with the class.
