Learning Objectives
Indicator: B3.1.7.1.2 - Recognise and relate the sequence of events in stories
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Listen attentively to a narrative text read aloud by the teacher and recall at least three major events from the story in the correct order.
- Identify and name the beginning, middle and end parts of a story they have heard.
- Use sequence words such as “first,” “then,” “next” and “finally” to retell events from a story in the correct order.
- Work in groups to arrange picture cards or sentence strips from a story into the correct sequence and explain their choices.
- Respond to simple questions about what happened before or after a specific event in a story.
