Lesson notes
Learning Objectives
Indicator: B1.1.7.1.1 - Listen to and reproduce narrative texts
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Listen attentively to a short narrative text read aloud by the teacher and identify the main events.
- Answer simple questions about the content of a story they have heard.
- Reproduce the main events of a narrative text in their own words, with the support of pictures or prompts.
- Retell a familiar story in small groups, taking turns to speak clearly and audibly.
- Role-play key events from the story, demonstrating their understanding of the sequence of events.
This lesson focuses on listening to and reproducing narrative texts. It builds on the oral language skills learners have developed in previous weeks (speaking clearly, taking turns in conversation) and prepares them for next week’s work on sequencing events and discussing characters.
