Learning Objectives
Indicator: B9.1.2.2.2 - Demonstrate the ability to discriminate between the main and subsidiary ideas in discourse, and organise answers.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Listen to an audio-visual passage on the importance of girls’ education and correctly identify the main idea of the passage.
- Distinguish between the main idea and subsidiary (supporting) ideas in a listened discourse, by classifying given statements.
- Organise their answers to comprehension questions in a logical order (main idea first, then supporting points).
- Give a personal observation on girls’ education, using vocabulary from the lesson (e.g., التعليم, البنت, المجتمع, العناية).
- Respond appropriately to at least three questions from the passage using complete Arabic sentences.
