Learning Objectives
Indicator: B8.1.2.1.1 - Show ability to answer questions regarding domestic duties such as washing dishes and clothes, sweeping the room, cleaning furniture, and scrubbing the floor.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify and pronounce the Arabic words for common domestic chores: washing dishes, washing clothes, sweeping, cleaning furniture, and scrubbing the floor.
- Listen to simple Arabic sentences describing domestic duties and state who is performing the action.
- Answer questions in Arabic using the pattern “ماذا يفعل/تفعل…؟” (What is he/she doing…?) about household tasks.
- Respond correctly with “نعم” (yes) or “لا” (no) to simple spoken statements about daily chores.
- Give a short spoken report of one chore they performed at home using correct vocabulary from the lesson.
