Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.1.2.2.1 - Identify morphemic compositions of words and phrases about the home, school, and community in Arabic stories told by teacher or taken from an audio-visual material.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Listen to a short Arabic story about home, school, or community and identify at least 10 familiar words related to these environments.
Break down dictated Arabic words into their morphemic parts (root letters, prefixes, and suffixes) and explain how the parts combine to form meaning.
Write down a dictated text of 3 to 5 sentences about the home and school environment with accurate spelling of key vocabulary.
State the meaning of 10 dictated words related to home, school, and the immediate environment in English or in simple Arabic.
Sort given Arabic words into groups based on their shared root letters or common prefixes and suffixes.
