Indicator: B1.2.2.1.1 - Examine the structure of plants

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify and name at least four external parts of a young plant (roots, stem, leaves, and flower or flower bud, where present).
Uproot a young plant carefully and describe what they observe about its roots and other parts.
Draw a labelled picture of a young plant showing its main external parts.
Sort leaves collected from different plants and explain one way the leaves are alike and one way they are different.
Work with classmates to create a weed album using leaves from different local plants.
