Learning Objectives

Indicator: B4.4.15.1.1 - Write to friends about personal experiences using appropriate letter formats

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify and label the key parts of a friendly letter (date, salutation, body, closing, signature) from a sample.
  2. Explain the purpose and features of an informal or friendly letter in their own words.
  3. Write a friendly letter of at least 5 sentences to a friend, sharing one personal experience, with the correct format.
  4. Use appropriate friendly greetings and closings in their letters.
  5. Review a peer’s letter and point out at least two correctly placed features.
