Learning Objectives

Indicator: 1.4.3.LI.1 - Menciona los días de la semana y los meses del año en español.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Name the seven days of the week in Spanish in order, from lunes to domingo, with correct pronunciation.
Name the twelve months of the year in Spanish in order, from enero to diciembre, with correct pronunciation.
Answer the question “¿Qué día es hoy?” using the appropriate day of the week in a complete sentence.
Answer the question “¿En qué mes estamos?” using the appropriate month in a complete sentence.
State their birthday in Spanish using the sentence frame “Mi cumpleaños es …” followed by the day of the week and month.

Initiating talk for learning
- ¿Qué día es hoy?
- ¿En qué mes estamos?
- A partir de estas dos preguntas el profesor/la profesora introduce el tema de hoy y menciona los días de la semana y los aprendices los repiten (special attention should be given to learners with speech impairment).

El profesor les hace a los aprendices esta pregunta:
- ¿Cuándo es tu cumpleaños?
(los/las aprendices contestan con el día y el mes siguiendo el modelo: Mi cumpleaños es .......)
