Indicator: 3.4.1.LI.2 - Discuss the use of elements of poetry in varied selected poems

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify at least five elements of poetry (imagery, diction, tone, mood, rhythm, rhyme, theme, figurative language) in selected poems.
Explain how two or more poetic elements work together to create meaning in a given poem.
Discuss, in task groups, how the elements of poetry are used in a selected poem, using accurate poetic terminology.
Present their analysis to the class with clear spoken expression and confident presentation skills.
Respond respectfully to peers’ presentations by asking constructive questions and building on one another’s ideas.
