Learning Objectives
Indicator: K2.4.2.1.6 - Create simple patterns with more than one of shape, colour, size, sounds or movements.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify and name patterns made with two different colours, shapes or sizes of objects.
- Create a simple AB pattern using two colours of bottle tops or counters (for example, red, blue, red, blue).
- Create a simple ABB or AAB pattern using two different colours, shapes or sizes.
- Make a sound pattern or movement pattern by clapping and stomping, or jumping and turning.
- Talk about how patterns connect to the community helpers they have been learning about in previous lessons.
