Knowing (who) the Important People / Occupation in My Community

Learning Objectives
Indicator: K1.4.2.1.3 - Interact with resource people from different occupation
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Greet a resource person politely and introduce themselves by name.
- Ask the resource person two questions: “What do you do?” and “How important is your work to the community?”
- Listen attentively and share one thing they have learnt about the resource person’s job.
- Dress up or role play the occupation they are aspiring to become.
- Say what they already know (K), what they want to know (W), and what they have learnt (L) about at least two occupations.

Have learners dress up in the uniform of the profession they are aspiring to become and interact with resource people from different profession. Resource people use the KWL strategy in their presentation. K- The learners say all they know about each job, W-They ask question about what they want to know. Coach the learners to ask the following two questions: What do you do? and How important is your work to the community.
