Learning Objectives

Indicator: K2.4.1.1.3 - Read level-appropriate sight words from the big book

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Read at least 5 level-appropriate sight words displayed on word cards with teacher support.
  2. Point to and locate sight words from the big book when prompted by the teacher.
  3. Use sight words to form short and simple sentences orally.
  4. Copy at least 5 sight words neatly in their ruled exercise books.
  5. Read the copied sight words aloud to a partner with minimal prompting.
