Learning Objectives
Indicator: K2.4.3.1.5 - Create art works inspired by places in our culture and country.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify and talk about the key elements they see in a picture of a chief’s palace, such as the umbrella, the stool, and the drum.
- Describe the colours and patterns they see on the royal umbrella in the picture.
- Create their own picture of a royal umbrella using paper, colours, and simple craft materials.
- Label their artwork with the word “umbrella” or “royal umbrella” with support from the teacher.
- Share their finished artwork with a friend and talk about one thing they like about it.
