Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.4.6.2.2 - Dire pourquoi on accepte ou on refuse une invitation.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- State at least two reasons for accepting an invitation and two reasons for refusing an invitation in French.
- Respond to an invitation using complete sentences that include a reason, such as “J’accepte ton invitation parce que…” or “Je refuse parce que…”.
- Use the expressions “parce que”, “car”, and “je suis désolé(e)” appropriately when giving reasons.
- Role-play a short telephone conversation where they accept or refuse an invitation and explain why.
- Write two or three sentences explaining why they accepted or refused an invitation in a given scenario.
