Learning Objectives
Indicator: B4.4.6.2.1 - Inviter quelqu’un par téléphone
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify and recite at least four French phrases used to invite someone by telephone (e.g. “Tu veux venir…?”, “Est-ce que tu es libre…?”, “Je t’invite à…”, “On peut se retrouver…?”).
- Use the telephone greeting “Allô” and proper opening and closing expressions when making or receiving a phone call in French.
- Role-play a short telephone conversation (3 to 4 exchanges) where one learner invites another to an activity and the other responds.
- Replace key words in an invitation phrase to create new invitations for different events (birthday party, football match, market outing).
- Recognise and use common time expressions with invitations: “samedi”, “dimanche”, “ce week-end”, “à 10 heures”, “demain”.
