By the end of the lesson, learners can:

State at least one reason for accepting an invitation using “J’accepte parce que…” or “Oui, je peux venir parce que…”
State at least one reason for refusing an invitation using “Je suis désolé(e), je ne peux pas venir parce que…” or “Je regrette mais…”
Respond correctly to simple yes/no questions about invitations, such as “Est-ce que tu peux venir à ma fête?”
Distinguish between reasons for accepting and reasons for refusing an invitation in a short listening or speaking activity
Use at least two different reasons (e.g., having a class, being sick, being free) in a role-play dialogue about invitations
