Learning Objectives

Indicator: B8.1.8.1.2 - Inviter quelqu’un lors d’une conversation, accepter ou refuser l’invitation. (Production orale et Interaction orale)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Invite someone to an event or activity using at least three different expressions from the “Outils/Manière de le dire” list (e.g., “Je t’invite à…”, “Tu viens au stade vendredi soir?”, “Tu es libre ce dimanche après-midi?”).
Accept an invitation using appropriate polite expressions such as “Oui, avec plaisir” or “Je suis libre”.
Refuse an invitation politely using expressions such as “Je regrette”, “Je suis occupé(e)” or “Je suis désolé(e). Je ne peux pas”.
Participate in a role-play or dramatised dialogue of at least six exchanges where one learner invites another, and the other accepts or refuses.
Use the verbs “pouvoir”, “vouloir”, “accepter” and “refuser” correctly in short oral sentences related to invitations.
