Learning Objectives

Indicator: B5.3.1.1.2 - Illustrate the use Insert, Design and Layout.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify and locate the Insert, Design, and Layout tabs on the ribbon in a word processing application.
  2. Use the Insert tab to add a picture, a table, and a shape to a document.
  3. Apply the Design tab to change the document theme and add a colour scheme.
  4. Adjust margins, orientation, and size using the Layout tab.
  5. Create and format a simple document (for example, a poster or announcement) by combining the tools from all three tabs.
