Indicator: B9.2.1.1.2 - Demonstrate the use of SmartArt

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Locate the SmartArt button in the Illustrations group of the Insert ribbon on Microsoft Word.
  2. Identify and describe at least three SmartArt graphic categories (such as List, Process, and Cycle) and explain when each is most suitable.
  3. Insert a SmartArt graphic into a Word document and add text to its shapes.
  4. Modify a SmartArt graphic by adding or removing shapes and changing its colour or style.
  5. Explain a real-life situation where a SmartArt graphic communicates information more clearly than plain text.
