Learning Objectives
Indicator: B8.2.1.1.2 - Demonstrate how to merge, split, add formula, borders and shades
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Explain the difference between merging and splitting cells in a Microsoft Word table and state when each is appropriate.
- Merge two or more cells in a table and split a cell into multiple rows or columns using the Layout tab.
- Insert a formula into a table cell to perform basic calculations such as addition and average.
- Apply borders and shading to table cells using the Borders and Shading dialogue box.
- Use the dialogue box launcher to access advanced border and line spacing options and apply them to a table.
