Learning Objectives
Indicator: B7.2.1.1.7 - Demonstrate how to set tabs and apply formatting
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify the Tab button and the horizontal ruler in the Microsoft Word window
- Set left, centre and right tab stops using the Tab button and the ruler
- Apply formatting such as bold, underline, font colour and alignment to text at different tab stops
- Use tabs to create a simple two-column or three-column list without using a table
- Explain when it is better to use a tab stop rather than pressing the spacebar repeatedly
