Indicator: B7.2.1.1.1 - Explain the importance of word processing software

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Define a word processor and a word processing software package in their own words.
  2. State at least four importance or benefits of using word processing software.
  3. Name and identify at least four common word processing software packages (e.g., MS-Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice Writer, Notepad).
  4. Distinguish between word processing software and a typewriter, giving at least two clear differences.
  5. Explain, in a simple oral presentation, one way word processing software helps people in their daily work or schoolwork.
