Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.2.1.1.5 - Demonstrate how to use text-decoration, change text case, text size and colour

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Locate and identify the Font group under the Home tab in Microsoft Word and name the tools found there.
  2. Change the case of selected text to sentence case, lowercase, uppercase, capitalize each word, or toggle case.
  3. Adjust the font size of selected text using both the font size box and the Grow Font and Shrink Font buttons.
  4. Apply text decoration features, including bold, italic, underline, and strikethrough, to selected text.
  5. Change the colour of selected text using the Font Color tool and apply a highlight colour to text.
