Lesson notes

Learning Objectives

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Locate and use the alignment buttons (Align Left, Center, Align Right, Justify) in the Paragraph group of the Home ribbon to position text in a slide.
  2. Apply paragraph indentation using the Increase Indent and Decrease Indent buttons to create levels of text.
  3. Add borders to text boxes or paragraphs and apply shading (fill colour) to highlight important text.
  4. Use the Spelling & Grammar, Thesaurus, and Language tools under the Review ribbon to check and improve a presentation.
  5. Build a short slide that uses alignment, indentation, borders, and shading together with proofing tools to present information clearly.

Indicator: B7.2.2.2.2

This lesson follows your work in Weeks 4 to 6. Learners already know how to create slides, insert text, and change font size, colour, and decoration. Today they will learn to arrange that text neatly and check their work with the Review tools.
