Learning Objectives

Indicator: B8.2.2.1.1 - Demonstrate how to add pictures, screenshot and edit and format pictures

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify and locate the Images Group under the Insert tab on the PowerPoint ribbon and name the commands available there (Pictures, Screenshot, Photo Album, and Online Pictures).
  2. Insert a picture from a file into a PowerPoint slide using the Pictures command in the Images Group.
  3. Use the Screenshot command to capture a section of an open window and insert it into a slide.
  4. Apply at least two picture editing tools (for example, crop, brightness, or picture border) to format an inserted picture.
  5. Work cooperatively in small groups to create a one-slide presentation that includes a picture, following step-by-step instructions.
