Learning Objectives

Indicator: B6.1.2.1.7 - Use the File Explorer Ribbon (Home Ribbon only), that is, the use of the Clipboard and Organise tools of the Home Ribbon of the File Explorer, as well as the Open New Window and Close tools of the File Menu of the File Explorer.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify the Home Ribbon in the File Explorer window and name its two main groups: Clipboard and Organise.
  2. Use the Copy and Paste tools from the Clipboard group to duplicate files and folders.
  3. Use the Cut, Delete, and Rename tools from the Organise group to manage files and folders.
  4. Use the Open New Window tool from the File Menu to open a second File Explorer window.
  5. Use the Close tool from the File Menu to close the File Explorer window.
