Learning Objectives

Indicator: B6.5.3.1.2 - Learners to create basic worksheets using Microsoft Excel 2016.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify and state the parts of an Excel worksheet window, including the ribbon, tabs, name box, formula bar, and active cell.
  2. Enter text (names) and numbers into specific cells of an Excel worksheet.
  3. Create a basic worksheet containing a list of names (teachers, students, friends, family members) with appropriate headings.
  4. Save a completed worksheet with a given file name and locate it when reopened.
  5. Demonstrate the correct steps for starting a new worksheet and entering data into cells, following the teacher’s demonstration.
