Learning Objectives
Indicator: B8.2.4.1.2 - Demonstrate how to create complex formulas
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify the parts of a complex formula (operators, cell references, and constants) in a spreadsheet.
- Create a formula to calculate percentages (e.g., percentage of total sales) using correct cell references.
- Create a formula to calculate commission earned, given a sales amount and a commission rate.
- Create a formula to calculate simple interest using the formula I = PRT/100.
- Explain the order in which a spreadsheet performs calculations (BODMAS/BIDMAS) when a complex formula is entered.
