Indicator: B7.2.3.3.1 - Demonstrate how to create formulas
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify the equal sign (=) as the required starting character for every formula in a spreadsheet.
- Create simple arithmetic formulas using addition (+), subtraction (−), multiplication (×), and division (÷) operators in a spreadsheet.
- Write formulas using cell references (e.g., =A1+A2) rather than typing numbers directly.
- Demonstrate how to enter a formula into a cell and verify the displayed result.
- Explain how spreadsheets recalculate results automatically when the values in referenced cells change.
