Learning Objectives
Indicator: B9.2.3.1.2 - Describe a desktop published document
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define a desktop published document and identify at least four common types (flyers, advertisements, invitation cards, business cards).
- Describe the key features of a desktop published document, including text position, image placement, colour use, and layout balance.
- Examine a peer’s desktop published document and describe its strengths and weaknesses in writing, using at least three of the given criteria (position of text and images, use of colour, mechanics, content accuracy).
- Use appropriate vocabulary (layout, alignment, font, margins, white space, balance) when describing a desktop published document orally and in writing.
- Exchange documents with a partner and give clear, respectful feedback that helps the partner improve their document.
