Learning Objectives
Indicator: B9.2.3.1.3 - Evaluate a desktop published document
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- State at least four criteria used to evaluate a desktop published document.
- Apply the evaluation criteria (position of text and images, general layout, use of colour, mechanics, and appropriateness of design) to assess a sample desktop published document.
- Identify strengths and weaknesses in a desktop published document and justify their judgments with specific evidence from the document.
- Write a short evaluation report (5 to 8 sentences) that combines observations from several criteria to reach an overall conclusion about the quality of a document.
- Work effectively in a group to evaluate a document and present the group’s findings to the class.
