Learning Objectives

Indicator: B8.2.3.1.3

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify and name the five main tabs in the MS-Publisher ribbon (Home, Page Design, Mailings, Review, View) and state the purpose of each tab.
  2. Locate specific commands within each tab, such as Font, Paragraph, Page Setup, and Zoom, when asked by the teacher within a timed challenge.
  3. Demonstrate the use of at least three commands (e.g. Bold, Font Size, Page Orientation) on a sample Publisher document and explain the visible effect of each command.
  4. Work in pairs to explore assigned tabs, recording two or three commands found in each tab and presenting their findings to the class.
  5. Apply the Review tab’s Spelling command to check and correct a short intentionally misspelled text passage.
