Learning Objectives

Indicator: B5.5.1.3.3 - Describe the types of database.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify at least four types of databases by their names and basic features.
  2. Describe the differences between a flat-file database and a relational database using simple examples.
  3. Give one example of where each type of database is used in everyday life.
  4. Sort and group cards or records as a class activity to demonstrate how each database type organizes data.
