Learning Objectives
Indicator: B8.3.2.1.1 - Identify the various types of Social Media sites such as Photo sharing (Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest) and Video sharing (YouTube, Facebook Live, Periscope, Vimeo)
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify at least six different social media platforms and correctly classify each as a photo sharing or video sharing site.
- Describe the main purpose and key features of Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, YouTube, Facebook Live, Periscope, and Vimeo.
- Explain the difference between photo sharing and video sharing social media platforms using specific examples.
- State at least one appropriate use for each type of social media platform in daily life or schoolwork.
- Demonstrate the steps involved in sharing a photo or video on a named platform through a classroom role-play or written sequence.
