Indicator: B9.3.3.1.2 - Explain ten (10) information hacking techniques on the Internet environment.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Define information hacking and distinguish it from legitimate computer use.
  2. Identify and explain ten specific hacking techniques used on the Internet environment.
  3. Describe how each hacking technique works and what it targets (passwords, data, devices, networks or services).
  4. Recognise warning signs or situations where each technique might be in use.
  5. Evaluate which techniques pose the greatest risk to personal data and suggest basic precautions for each.
