By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify at least five common idiomatic expressions when they appear in a sentence or short passage.
- Explain the figurative meaning of given idiomatic expressions in their own words.
- Use at least three idiomatic expressions correctly in their own written sentences.
- Work in groups to determine the meaning of idiomatic expressions from context clues.
- Use an idiomatic expression appropriately in a short spoken dialogue or role-play.
