Learning Objectives
Indicator: B5.4.7.1.1 - Écouter/Regarder et comprendre un document audiovisuel sur les professions et les métiers
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify at least six professions and trades (professions et métiers) heard in a short French audiovisual document about jobs.
- Match spoken names of professions (le médecin, le maçon, le coiffeur, la couturière, etc.) to the correct picture or action shown in the video or on flashcards.
- State in French what a person does in his or her job when shown an image from the audiovisual document, using sentence frames like “C’est un médecin. Il soigne les malades.”
- Answer simple comprehension questions in French (Oui/Non or short answers) about who does what in the audiovisual document.
- Sort professions heard in the document into categories: professions de la santé, métiers de la construction, métiers du commerce, etc.
