Indicator: K1.1.1.1.4

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  • Say at least three new positive words to describe their own body parts, such as “clean”, “strong” or “beautiful”
  • Point to and name a body part while using a positive describing word in a short phrase, for example “My hands are strong”
  • Respond to teacher questions such as “How do you look?” or “How tall are you?” using simple positive sentences
  • Use a new positive word they have learnt to describe a friend’s body part during a paired speaking activity

Have learners watch a displayed conversational poster on the wall (parts of the human body) and use the positive descriptive words and expression they learnt
to describe themselves. Direct their discussions with questions like (how do you look? How tall are you?
E.g. l am fair
