Lesson notes

Learning Objectives

Indicator: 1.3.1.LI.1 - Identify career pathways in Health Education

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. List at least eight distinct career pathways available in Health Education.
  2. Describe the primary role or function of each identified career pathway in one or two sentences.
  3. Categorise the career pathways into broad areas such as clinical care, public health, health promotion, and administration.
  4. Match specific job titles (e.g., health educator, epidemiologist) to their correct pathway descriptions when given a list.
  5. Identify at least two career pathways in Health Education that are currently in demand in Ghana and explain why.

This lesson focuses on the first level of the sequence, which is identification. The follow-up lesson in Week 6 will move to discussion, so this lesson builds the foundational vocabulary and knowledge that discussion will require.
